Castalia Offline
Castalia loved nature and whatever the elements could throw at the world. As much as she loved snow it was not exactly good for business. With this blizzard being insanely impressive she had to cancel all of her classes until the weather cleared up. Despite that today she was in the studio tending to all the plants that were sat in the window.

With no classes at the moment the young witch had left the music off. So when the studio phone rang it made the woman jump a little. Talia had put the class cancelation notice up on her website and even on the front door to the studio. So no one had called since just after the storm hit. She only sat puzzled for a second before walking over to get the phone on the third ring.

“Hello, Elementa yoga studio. Castlia speaking, how may I help you?” She greeted in her best customer service voice.

“Oh good it’s you,” came a soft sweet voice. One in which the elemental witch knew well.

“Dahlia! What are you doing calling me? If the rest of coven found out you’d be in so much trouble. How did you even find me?” The younger witch spoke in a rush. Dahlia was a plant mage only a couple years her senior. Her and her mother were the poison, botany, and herbalism specialists in the coven. Castalia and Dahlia has been pretty good friends before her banishment.

“How do you think I found you, Cassy?” the other girl said with a small laugh, “ I called every yoga studio on the east coast until you answered.”

“Okay. But you didn’t answer me. Why are you calling? I don’t want you to get in trouble.”

There was a sigh on the other end of the line. “Are you sitting down?” That didn’t sound good. Castalia frowned.

“Lia, this isn’t funny. Stop being so cryptic,” she snapped. The first time speaking to a former coven mate and it wasn’t going well.

“Just sit down please.”

With a grumble the brunette did as asked. “There.”

“A couple months ago there was an attack on the coven. I was out hiking on Mt Hood when it happened. When I got back most of the coven had been killed or injured.”

A wash of hot and cold ran through the young woman as she listened. Oh god. Her mind started racing.
“Are your parents okay? What about my parents?” she asked quickly, trying to keep the edge out of her voice.

“Um. My parents are alive,” Dahlia said slowly. There was a pause and an audible swallow before the older woman continued. “Cassy I’m so so sorry. Your mom didn’t make it, and your dad has been on life support since it happened.”

Castalia couldn’t contain the wail that escaped her lips. “NO! No no. That can’t be.”

“I really am sorry firebug. The few remaining coven elders decided not to try and find you to tell you. I’ve been trying to find you since it happened when I had time in private,” the other woman spoke softly.

The yogi was no longer really listening to the other woman. Her mind was far away. The emotions were beyond raw. She could feel the elements stirring dangerously within her.

“Who did this?” she asked, voice cool. Her mother wasn’t just dead, and her father dying. They had been attacked. Murdered, so had more of her former family.

“Um, I don’t know much but I overhead the name Carmine. Sorry I don’t know any more,”  the plant mage told her. Her mind only continued to spin.

“I’ve gotta go, Dia,” she spoke, not bothering to reply to what she had been told. Without waiting for a reply she ended the call and got up. Her movements were shaky and quick.

It was all starting to bubble within herself. She had to get away from the studio, away from people. It was too much to contain, so she had to get away. Grabbing her jeep keys she almost ran out of the studio. Thanks to her powers not even a blizzard could stop her.
